What are you made for

  1. Almost 99% of the mass of the human body is made up of six elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus. Only about 0.85% is composed of another five elements: potassium, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, and magnesium. All are necessary to life. Exerpt from google. Without complexity; in a nutshell we are made out when male and female reproductive cells meet.

Some people live to fulfill their dreams. Everday they strive to get their goals. Do whatever it takes to achieve what they are longing for. Exert all the effort and grab each and every opportunity that come their way. Some nailed it and most stalled it out. How would you say you'll win or loose without trying? Reality bites, however, dreams do come true. There's nothing wrong with that. I just hope that we won't regret how you achieve  it. It is not about being happy nor well played the game rather play it with integrity.

Is there a formula for success? If you supervene someone you look up to would it be the same result? Do thriving people give advice to their novice to follow each and everything that happened to their lives?  I guess we all have the same answer. Because none of us has the exact same life we live in, no similar experiences from nativity to now, nothing in this life are parallel life perce'.

Some people say they are made for something or someone. As per Christians, we are meant to live for Christ and Him only. We are made to live life to the full and it's for you to decide how. Some crave to spend their time for family, career, friends or whatever have you. Apostle Paul said in Philippians 1:21 "21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain."

How about you; what you are made for?

It takes one to know one

It takes an addict to know if someone is addicted to something. It takes a broken person to know how it feels like to be broken. It takes a saint to canonized a priest. We take our pride and prejudice to stretch out our judgement to someone or something that happened. We choose our friends so that we wont be associated with persons with bad records, substandard, dangerous and unruly. On my opinion it's not always been the case because Jesus was never like that. He took a wretch like me and He loved me and He saved me.

Let me ask you simple question, have you ever been a domestic animal to know that your pet needed to be fed? Just like Jesus (as for me) He doesn't need to be 100% human to know how to be tempted, rejected nor to love and be loved here on Earth but He was once a human for the fulfillment of the greatest purpose to save mankind if you let Him into your heart.

Whenever you wheedle yourself on judging others ask God first for the provision and that He will give reasons to understand why people have that kind of attitude or did something that didn't pass to your touchstone. For all have sinned and fall short for the glory of God.

God's ways are perfect even though He allows "uncontrollable unexpected" things to happen in our lives. Rest assured that He knows what He is doing and that His love for us is unconditional.

See through

Why do we assimilate ourselves on the things we watch? Be it in movies, tv series, even tv commercials. We all have our own reasons. We see ourselves or someone we know in one of the portrayed characters. We wanted to do what they did or the main character inspires us maybe. Whatever our reasons are we somewhat acquire these on some of the clips we watched. We sometimes replicate over and over gagging ourselves. Positive or negative impact, still it influences us somehow.

Let me ask you one thing. When we see Passion of Christ on my opinion is the most modernized Life of Christ(because Jesus as a kid I never knew He is that witty). How did it impact us? Are we inspired to do good for the meantime? Do we surrender all to Him for just a moment? I bet you cried. I hope we can say amen with what Paul stated in 1 Corinthians 11:1. We can never be perfect and God didn't asks us to. He wanted us to prepare ourselves when He comes, instead.

If your life will be viewed by other people. How will you think it will make a mark on them? Is it Christ they see through you

TAMING THE FINGERS

A lot of people doesn't want Anti-cybercrime law.  I have nothing against people who convey their take through social media. Cliche it may sound that we need to think before we click. As the bully of the social media changed it to Google before you click. People that were bullied in cyber world will have melancholy for themselves. There were times that prejudice overshadows our cogitation on the situation. Although we need to give credit to whom it's due.

What do we get from bullying someone in social medias? We express our feelings and opinions, did it furnish justice to your satisfaction?

You might want to check out Proverbs 10:19. To bridle our tongue and fingers, give God the reins of your heart.  Exeprt from Our Daily Bread(October 3) volume 18 edition.

What's in it for me?

I’ve always used this as my cheat sheet in life: I don’t make plans to achieve my goals. You may have plans from a to zed but it only opted you to choose 26 ways to have your goal achieved but as for me I make the most out of the opportunities to have it done so that if I fail, the opportunities that Jesus give me are limitless. We would always have fresh events every morning coz the blessings of God are anew every day.

We may ask ourselves whenever new things that come our way and the first question that came into our mind is what’s in it for me. Be it as it can entertain us, use it as a hand in our everyday life, or to make our lives easier. At times, we see our lives as routinary. We have tasks to do everyday at a certain time, certain location and certain things to get it done. There were times that our routinary reflexes as automatic. It's hard to unlearn it if you need to.

We need to focus on our aspiration no matter what came along regardless if it’s a hindrance or a blessing to our goal just focus on it and you can smell the success of it. We can enjoy life achieving our goals although there are a lot of things that will lead us to not attain that star. Let’s make sure that we’ll have a moment of reflection on the things we did if it will straighten our path to our purpose and in tune with good faith.

We are a work in progress coz nobody is perfect; but if we strive for the victory you can accomplish it to the best of our ability. Everyday is our learning process. We always thought that we trust God but He believed in us first by entrusting our lives to get our call done. He prepares us emotionally and physically to do our take.

The next time you encounter new things we need to ask ourselves what’s in it for me and it’s for you to find out how to use them creatively.

Happy ever after did exist with God!

out of order

What if you need to pee and you see this sign? Watcha gonna do? Go to other floor or another comfort room available?

What if MRT. LRT, SLEX, and NLEX is under repair? Good thing we can take different route and mode of transportation it's just that it will not be a smooth as everyday trip.

What if the sun and the moon amiss the sky? It could mean desolation to the Earth. Regardless of who we are, we still experience the Grace of God since we all share one sun and one moon. So nobody can ever say that he/she was left out of God's favor. Who are we to mock His will. As the idiom says all is fair in love and war.

This is the worst scenario that anybody could think of. What if God has an answering machine or voicemail message activated; and you dial Jeremiah 33:3 and you will hear His beautiful voice stating "please leave a message after the tone". OMG havoc will be at hand.

Thank God for HE is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent Father. See I'm an heiress.

You could also be an heir or an heiress of Jesus. Check out Romans 8:17.

energy

Electricity, solar, forces, power, potential, kinetic, work, and stress are some of the words that can be associated with energy.

But where do you put your energy on? As the Word says where your heart is there your treasure will be. We always do what we have to, what we need to do and what we love to do. Isn't it fascinating that we are not that stressed out of what we are fond of doing because we are enjoying every bit of it. Though we put much of our energy on them. What do you religiously do?

Kudos to the foundation who funded the people that doesn't have the chance of utilizing electricity on their homes. Thanks to Karen Davila for sharing her Krusada to us.

It will be much appreciated if we use our energy to an eloquent things not only for us but for others around us so that it may be a domino effect.

bodyguard

Security guards secure everything that is valuable to us. They also serve as marshals for peace and order. They made everything in order as much as possible. They manage to be tough and physically buff.

When my daughter had gone through her last destination on Earth, I was towered by my two of my tallest cousins. They made it to the point that no one can go near me besides my family. I will treasure it for the rest of my life. I felt secure that time. My Aunt gave me the courage to walked through the isle of the cemetery in Loyola.

Who can give you the security of your finances? Banks not Tyra? Haha. Who can give you the security of your marriage? Your spouse? Who can give you the security if you need it the most? Nobody can but the Holy Spirit. As Jesus said before He left his disciples that He will leave them and unto us all who believes and accepts Him as His Lord and Savior; Holy Spirit to protect us and lead us through.

If God is with you who can stand against you?

Papa

secret

Don't get too excited. Adrenalin rush. Wait it's still loading. There you go! These are some examples of what we usually feel when we heard someone would spill out a secret. If somebody says, I want to tell you something, we're so eager to know what it is. We even beg the holder spill it out fast and when that somebody beat around the bush we try to ask things that would lead to the climax. And when our ears got served we make different opinions, blurt out mixed emotions, and finally we gather points of view be it top view, front view, right side view, and all sorts of view. Oops those are for drawing. Haha.

We always want to know a secret. Though Po in Kung Fu Panda part 1 succeeded through different obstacles to see what is written in the scroll he found nothing. Then he remembered what his father Ping said regarding to his soup; that there's no secret recipe on it. If I may, there was a secret. He made everyone believe that there is, that's why his noodle magnetized customers to zipped every bit it.

Truth truth truth. It shall always prevail. It shall set you free. It also hurts. The only truth I know is Jesus. Not only that, He too is the way and life.

There are lot of facts in life but does not fit to everyone and in every situation.

do not

If we see the sign above, do we follow? Why is it innate in us humans to do what we are not supposed to do? Why so simple yet so hard? I'll give you scenarios. A man driving saw a sign no u turn. A lady wearing high heeled shoes saw please use the other door. A student saw a sign no id no entry. In life we encountered numerous signs that we sometimes do the other way around that usually lead to a darn day. How much more if we don't follow the commandments of God? During the Old Testament there were ten, but with the New Testament it was cut into two. And you can find it in the book of Mark 12:28-34.

Earthquakes, flood, war, and world destructions are signs that the end is near. You can read it thoroughly in the book of Revelation. But how soon is now. A thousand years could mean a day for God.

We do have our own strengths and weaknesses. We have our own struggles in life we have to face each and every day somewhat like the thorns in the flesh of Paul. However, he proudly said that for him to live is Christ and to die is gain.

We all fall short for the glory of God. But if we do it as a habit, it's a different story.

Can we try to follow the signs? I guess it won’t hurt.

Human closet

Fahionistas and wanna bes. Most of us gain more confidence in dressing up. Her highness queen B, once said in a series Gossip Girl, it is a sin not to look stunning. At times, high society people rehearse their get up made by their own choice of designer on the upcoming event; such as awards night, important meetings, or countless parties and the likes. For an ordinary people, they merely choose their best for an event like birthday parties, gatherings, or just an out of town vacation, etc.

I remember the ANTM (America's next top model), one of the tasks of the wanna bes was to walked on a runway wearing an ordinary sack. Tyra, Ms. Jay and the other judges should feel the contenders' confidence as they were clothed with just a sack. Mama Tyra said that a model should wear what they are told and walk fabulously on the runway even if shoes, upper or lower garment doesn't fit them. Being a Cinderella’s step sister is a must for them.

As a person, God never asked us what to wear and how we should look like on how to pray and praise Him. Though during B.C., high priests had their own fair share on how to give offerings to gain the forgiveness of the Lord. They wore their everyday long white cloth with chains around their feet and a steel ball to let the others know that they're still alive. King David praise God naked. God only looks at the most important thing on praising Him which is our heart. We could clean our hearts when we ask for forgiveness from Him and answers our requests if they are decorated with right motives and accessorized them in His time.

We are human closets not only closet queens. You're asking me why. Because we hide or keep secrets. I'll elaborate more on this in the near future.

Nobody knows when Jesus will be back on Earth. Some people said that at a particular day the Lord will come. It’s already proven that it is only a lie since we are still alive and kicking. All we could do is to prepare ourselves and hold on to our faith in Jesus and Jesus only coz He is the only One that could save a man, so that when the right time comes we will be included in the rapture so that we will not be able to experience how God will end the world.

On a lighter note, if you know when Jesus will be here on Earth, what would you wear?

I think the most fashionable things are clothesline, clothes clip, and hangers.

What matters most

I miss the days when I used to receive love letters from my Bebeng. She never failed to write me a letter or just a note saying how much she loved me, how much she needed me and how happy she was that I'm in her life. Although she did it, I would always asked her "Bebeng love mo ko?" We always showed our affection towards each other. We fought like we were sisters but she knew when to treat me as her mother. She's adorable, best, charming, and she was a positive noun from a to zed. Even our dentist cried when she learned that she's now an angel. The memories still lingers in my mind. She and her nanny surprised me on my 28th birthday when I got home from office the last birthday I spent with her. It was the most memorable birthday I ever had coz what they did was they spelled my name(written on a piece of paper with an instruction on each and every letter; in order for me to find the next one after the other that would be found all around our house) and the last letter had a note with a purse she insisted me to buy. She was my life then, and maybe that's the reason why Jesus got her from me coz He's a jealous God. I even call her small portrait as my saint when she was still alive. She never wanted to be left alone that's why when I needed to have a cancer break I see to it that someone that I could trust would be looking after her. I have a lot of memories with her and I will keep them until my very last breath. Every mother would agree that nothing can compare the joy of being a mom.

My Wan and only showed his love for me whenever he break danced in my tummy. Even when I'm asleep then he would still do his moves. He showed his last love for me by singing lullaby and sooth tapped me the day before valentines day. Jesus already answered my question why he needs to go.

They were both my angels now. What matters most is that I love and have been loved by the most precious gifts that I ever received.

Dear Diary

Even before I met blogging. I used to addressed my diaries to the Lord. I put them on a bond paper. All the secrets I kept no limitation of words coz it was just between me and Him. After a certain period of time, I threw them on a trash can so that nobody could read them. I indited my emotions, my thoughts, especially my prayers. It was a relief as I read them coz I know I'm in the safest pair of hands of God.

Thanks to my eldest sister for encouraging me in a world of blogging. I got a lot of handful help from my girls Iris Mejia(my mentor) and Ruby Ricafrente(who gave my domain) and from our group (Pinay Mommies Community). I'm eyeing to be part of sheriff's angels as payu2blog member. I patiently waited and worked hard for me to target all the requirements needed. While having fun with it. I got a star being an AdSence blogvertiser.

Do you have diaries?

Bloody Mary

I admire Maricar Reyes how she handled the controversy she had faced with Hayden Kho. I never heard her and her family granted the greedy press to have feast on her private life. She never allowed people to be drowned on the said scandal. Instead she is now busy with her craft and still embrassing the privacy of her life. She didn't uplift herself for the people that doesn't have anything to do with her. She still stand tall with prim and proper gesture.

Not unlike a person that was emailed to me by a friend. Let's call that person unnamed. Unnamed insists that the immorality they've done was not true. I was there while you're doing those things. I kept my mouth shut for long, I thought I could still keep it to myself. Until finally God gave me the courage to let go of the calvary I'm carrying. God told me that I could still go on with my life. I wish I didn't see it with my own two eyes. I just wish I heard it or just read from a text message. No matter what you say my eyes will never lie to myself. No matter what your reasons are, they didn't matter anymore. I don't know where you got the guts to tell it to my mom.

Havoc was over. Blood of your own blood. Flesh of your own flesh. Should I say blood is thicker than water?

Mama

I was inspired to write this because of the movie The Black Swan. I bet it became an eye opener or should I say a reminder that we should not leave values and the things that our mom taught and trained us. I've noticed the difference between the old and the most recent speech of the awardees of the Oscars' 83rd Academy Award winners hosted by James Franco(127 hours) and Anne Hathaway(love and the other drugs). Almost all of them addressed their gratitude to their moms. I even remember Anne Hathaway paved way to her mama. I told my siblings not to watch it without our mom coz it's kinda hard to contain what (Nina Sayers)The Swan Queen and Best Actress Natalie Portman did to herself and her mom.

I call my mom Mama, ma, muma, mudra, and sometimes mudrax. As the Word says Obey your father and mother in the Lord for this is right. I'm just an ordinary daughter who didn't follow parents. I sometimes insists to my mom what I know was right. We had a lot of altercations. But I would not trade her to anyone's mom. I love her not because she's there when I fail, not because she is a silent operator(she made way to fix most of my problems without my knowledge), not because she loves me and nags at me when I did wrong, but because she  is the one that God gave me. I didn't promise her that I will be the best daughter that a mom could ever dream of coz I know nobody could ever achieve it. All that she wanted for me is to grow up and to establish my life according to what is right. (not left? haha)

I'm grateful that I still have her. Are you?

Love song

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful Jesus
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through through it all

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

You were always there for me
The tender wind that carried me
A light in the dark shining your love into my life
You've been my inspiration
Through the lies you were the truth
My world is a better place because of you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

A love song from Celine Dion and excerpt from Google lyrics. As of the moment this is my love song to Jesus as you can see that I edited one word from baby to Jesus. We could always cater love song to Him if you were to remember the line " In moments like this, I sing out a song, I sing out a love song to Jesus. In moment likes this I sing out a song to the Lord."

Guilty or not?

What could have been if Angelo Reyes "Angie" is still alive?

Is suicidal the only solution for the controversy he had faced? We heard left and right documentaries about his life and how he lived as a family man and how he succeeded to be the Chief. Since everyday we have fresh news most of the important issues in our beloved country has left behind.

Some says that Angie's act was wise. In this matter his case was closed without jeopardizing his family's dignity that they kept for long.

So near yet so far

A day away. Dawn before valentine's day. I felt weird because that was the first time I didn't feel my breakdance boy play around my womb. I already prayed my heart out to the Lord. I fell fast asleep on that night, I felt that somebody sung a lullabye on my ear softly and I felt someone soothe tapped my bottom for me to have that deep sleep. When I woke up 2pm on the 13th of february which was my second to the eldest nephew's birthday. Just like my ordinary day. I ate, swam before my eyes on my lappy and one thing is not right I told myself because since I slept, I haven't felt my baby moved yet. And it is the first time I experienced it. I'm still praying from my heart of hearts. As soon as I stepped on my 2nd semester of my pregnancy he never failed to kick and roll around my tummy. That's why it bothers me at that moment why is he not making any movement. I surfed the net and I learned that some babies mostly if it's the mother's due date they usually gather energy for the big day so they just hibernate. I texted his father to come along right after office. And so did he. After dinner we went to OB's clinic to know if I could be admitted that time and the rest is history. It was around 10pm then. We also got second opinion on a midwife at emergency Taytay. On valetine's eve we rushed at the hospital then since it's already my due date. I saw my previous room mate when I was in high school and so happenned to be one of the doctors that would be there on the process of the operation. I felt relieved that someone I know would be there for me in the OR since my big baby is not allowed inside. I also asked her hints and she just said we'll see after your ceasarian section operation. So I patiently waited. At 2am they put me to OR and do their job. Te Ross my former room mate showed Wan and I barely saw him since I was high because of the anesthesia and injectable sleeping drug. She just said 3 rounds of umbilical cord wrapped his neck and he already pooped inside my womb. The only thing I remember I said was please revive him. Everytime I woke up a number of times from sleep and I heard a baby crying. I will ask the attending nurse 'Is that my little one?' and she would just say "mommy wag ka magsalita makakasama sayo". Next thing I know I was already at the surgical ward and my family was there and I asked them where's Wan. They just said he's already an angel. Yeah you got it right. All I could do is cry my heart out and asked myself again 'why'. And I heard the same reason once more. It is God's will. Just a day away, me and my big baby suppose to see our Wan and only. So near yet so far.

Second Chance

During the ancient times heinous punishment is rampant to avoid crimes. Crucifixion, stone to death, garrote, castration, thrown to a lion's pit, beheaded with a sword or decapitation and execution by a firing squad are some sort of ancient punishment. The word capital means head. So whenever you hear capital punishment it will always something to do with the head. Nowadays, we call it death penalty because government don't use criminal's head to punish them, instead they come up to a lot of ideas like gas chamber, electrocution by a chair , and lethal injection. Here in the Philippines, death penalty is not stationary for the president.

Jose Rizal was executed by a firing squad, alot of people were decapitated, some were thrown to lion's pit, adulterers were castrated, GOMBURZA were garroted, Stephen from the Bible was stoned to death, and Jesus Christ was crucified that leads to his death and after three days He rose up and saves. If you will observe most of the people mentioned above were innocent most especially Lord Jesus. They died because of wrong accusation. Though Mary Magdalene is really a sinner Jesus didn't allow people to stone her to death instead He wrote on the ground people's transgression so that it will serve as a reminder that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and no one can come to the Father except Jesus. One by one they dropped the stone on their hands. And the rest is history.

Why do we put criminals to death to show that what they did was wrong? If it is, killing those people on a death row is not a crime then? On my perspective, it would not make us lesser evil if we do that because sin will always be a sin regardless of how big or small it is. Like lies, there's no such thing as white lies, it is still a lie. God is a god of second chances, if you follow your father, then why don't we follow our Father in heaven who is in your heart.
