Digitized

Are you happy that you are a part of this century which most of everything are digitized?

I remember the days when we used to have analog clocks. Manual channel tuning on radios and televisions. Life is so easy that time. But as the technology becomes hi-tech or high end life becomes hard. Is it one of the three laws of gravity? There's always equal reaction to every action? For the Earth to be in equilibrium. God allows it to happen or was it our own laziness that's why it happened?

We try to have everything in an instant. Instant coffee(3 in 1), instant noodles, instant film, instant message, instant games for kids(pc, psp, wii, etc.) instant date, instant partner, worst instant marriage. Wheww. Most of everything in our era are instant and digital (same thing with carma as they say) and as we all know that the more high end the product or service we avail the more expensive it is indeed.

If we could turn back the hands of time, do children would choose to play what we used to play in the streets? Do teenagers choose to exchange love letters? Do elders choose to spend time with their family rather than kill themselves working to have what they thought a better living?

Moon

Some of us are lucky because they had the opportunity to witness lunar eclipse. Have you had an expeienced of this once in a blue moon event in the history?

I like moon more than I like the sun. Some planets have lots of moon respectively while all planets share just one sun. We could look at the moon for hours while we could only look at the sun for long with the aid of a shade on our eyes. Moon never leave us, its always there all along from the time the sun outshines the moon that's why kids thought that during morning moon is out. And the moon is one of God's creation that my daughter loved to take pictures of.

Countless sheep

One thousand one, one thousand two, one thousand three. Some says if you can't sleep count sheeps. However insomniacs counted a million sheeps and still see themselves wide awake. People who has insomnia and has to work tomorrow is hard, but it's harder for insomniacs how to spend the rest of the day with nothing to do but to find a way how to be sleepy.

Insomniacs envied sleepy heads. Because they tend to see them snoring while they were wondering when was the last time they experienced the goodness of having a deep sleep for like ten hours or more. Their revenge were, when sleepy heads have important things to do, then they found out that they were not able to do so because of a goodnight sweet dreams.

After I gave birth I wanna be in between insomniacs and sleepy heads so that I can be a channel or a vessel for them to patch things up.

Nighty nighty.

The agent

This article is my tribute to all my colleagues, Communication skill trainers, Product training coaches, TLs, floor walkers, second level front liners, QAs, STLs, OMs, SOMs I have worked with. Most especially my  sister, brother, cousins, and friends who worked at this industry.

Although the above description of a call center agent is not that accurate atleast you will have a picture on your mind what its like to be one. We call virgins or newbies for a new comer that enters a call center world. We have a lot of jargon words we used on the floor that is a big NO NO on a call or else you will have marked down on your score card for some it's an auto zero. Virgins still have a halo wearing on the vicinity of the company. They follow rules and regulations. They usually play Simon says because what the trainers will say they will do. English Only Policy(EOP) sometimes they dreamt of speaking in english, reliability, and studying lessons at home. After 3 months, little by little their halo becomes little horns and will grow as they grow old in the industry.

AVAYA and headset are our number 1 weapon. We love it though if either of them doesn't work because if they don't work we will not have calls and an alibi if it is queueing. Then bubble burster TLs will call your attention why you're not auto in and they will do everything to have you auto in. Auxilliary modes are our petics mode hoping that workforce team wont flag or ping our TL, QA, or our trainer. It is where bucket trainings, team meetings, one on one coaching or you're just the favorite agent of your TL happened during petics mode. Team buildings, events, awards night, incentives, and 13th month pay are some of the highlights of this industry.

I learned neutral accent, phone ethics, high compensation and benefits compared to being a normal office employee, vertigo and insomnia, these are some of the things that I got joining the industry. I have a lot of things to say but I'd rather not for a lot of reasons.

Are you one of us or do you wanna be one of us?

kikay

Filipino slang word for sassy.

King of Christmas

When you hear Christmas, what comes first to your mind? Gift giving, reunion, vacation, party, traffic, more lights on the streets, Christmas trees and lanterns and girls; I know you love to shop on sale. We have alot of occasions almost every month but what we always look forward to is Christmas. We usually wear new stuff from head to toe. Almost all are happy to be with their loved ones. We eat what we want on this occasion puto bumbong, puto bibingka, puto kwali, ham, queso de bola, ice cream, cake, etc. We have alot of Christmas wishes and after Christmas we wish to loose weight. Haha.

Christmas is for us and will always be for us but it is not about us, cheesy it may sound; Christmas is the Sign that we could be all saved from the hands of Jesus' enemy. It was never wrong to be happy on Christmas day I just hope that one of our reasons being happy on Christmas day is Jesus.

documentos, papeles y más papeles

As I go over my hard copy portfolio, documents piled up. From birth certificate to death certificate. Chillax peeps, I can't post blog if I'm dead right. It was from my father. I didn't get my daughter's certificate. I don't feel any good with all those papers I saw. I have my birth certificate and it spelled my name Amy Kate Cruz Espiritu while Papa said to the midwife that my name should be spelled as Aimee Kate Cruz Espiritu this name was given to me by my godmother. Siena College of Taytay accepted me to enroll to their school using Aimee from kinder to grade 2. And on my 3rd grade I transferred to DaySpring Academy and graduated there bearing Aimee. I also graduated at Mapua Institute of Technology (high school) in Sta.Cruz Manila using Aimee. Then came to college level. They didn't allow me to enter on my first level using Aimee regardless that I graduated from high school to their school. I got affidavit of change name document. Still they didn't accept, their reason was if I will go abroad, I have no choice but to use Amy. If that will happen embassy won't accept affidavit of change name. I told them I won't go abroad just please allow me to use Aimee. My Mama said let them be. So I had no choice. To sum it up from kindergarten to high school my diploma spelled my name is Aimee Kate C. Espiritu while my college diploma spelled Amy Kate C. Espiritu.

I have Social Security System, Pag Ibig, Taxpayer Identification Number, Philhealth, Barangay Clearance, Police Clearance, Cedulas, National Bureau of Investigation Clearance, Student License(expired), etc. Marriage Certificate down to Certificate of No Marriage. What I love the most is B boy's baby document, birth certificate of Ayel and some of her baby documents.

We have a lot of documents to witness the story of our lives but the most important of them are the ones that was never told, was never written,  was never recorded, and was never documented because it was embedded in our heart. Because our heart is the witness to all the heartaches and happiness we ever felt every second, every minute, every hour and every day of our life. Although sometimes our heart forget how it felt but it reminds our mind how it was. The good thing about it is all the things that happened in our lives was healed and will be healed in time. As they say time can heal all wounds. If your heart is writing a sad story as of the moment, don't worry time can forget about it.

happiness vs. joy

Do we equate happiness from joy? At first glance they can be similar but if you will dig deep you will find the difference. According to Oxford English dictionary happiness is a vivid (external) emotion of pleasure for a certain period of time on an event or an occasion. Joy is an emotion that arises from within us and is not affected by the things that happened to us. And it is one notch up of being happy. Happiness doesn't last while joy is virtue which is a gift from God.

Lotto winner will experience happiness buying houses while hard-worker will experience joy building his/her home.

I don't think so.........

Before alibis were only used in court laws. But nowadays it can be altered as white lies. When was the last time it has gotten to your nerves? We hate it although we oftentimes use it for a numerous reasons. We don't want alibi if it is used against us but it is our savior in times of need. Some stupid people think that what the other person doesn't know won't hurt him/her. I don't think so because it'll be more painful if that person found out the truth and you knew it all along.

what does bee have?

Jollibee was launched in 1975 somewhere in Cubao owned by Tony Tan Caktiong. Jollibee name was inspired from a Disneyland character. Tony is a Chinese citizen and as we all know Chinese are diligent to all their craft. So Tony and management think of a bee since bees are very busy creatures. He wanted an image of a restaurant with employees working all over the place like busy-bees and where customers in turn joyfully take their meals. They used the word jolly and changed y to i and came up to a name JOLLIBEE. This was excerpt from a research on google.

Every Pinoy have eaten Jollibee products in all walks of life on almost all Filipino occasions most especially children's party. Jollibee is all over the country and overseas as well. Its commercials already has stuck on our memories. "I love you Sabado" and alot

The question is, why is it attractive to us mostly to kids and kids at heart. Is it because of its colorful mascot? Is it because of its products and services? Is it because it can be seen everywhere? Is it because it is convenient and fast to eat to its oulets? Is it because it is affordable? I could say that it is because of its appeal like a person with the so called x-factor. In your opinion what does bee have?

perfect match

Whenever I see this restroom sign in a public convenience, I could only think of one thing; they are the perfect match. Since it embodies and epitomizes a man and a woman which God created. It doesn't matter if you're young and young at heart, gay or lesbian, even if you are like the famous Thomas Beatie and a gay who had a sex change, weak or strong, good or bad; you still personify a man or a woman.

What is your standards of a perfect couple? They both look good together? They harmonize with their attitude? As for me I could say that a perfect couple has the ability to outlast the imperfection of his/her better half. As we all know that other than Jesus Christ nobody is perfect ever lived. The person will only be perfect in the eyes of someone that accepts and knows deeply his/her imperfections in all aspect of his/her life. Practice doesn't makes us perfect rather practice makes it permanent.

Have you found your perfect match or still searching?

breakin free

I was married to my husband eleven years ago. I never thought that I would marry that early since I was just eighteen then. We made vows to ourselves and lived a happy life. We were good friends during our college glorious days. We were block mates. On our second year college I got pregnant. I stopped studying but he continued till he graduated in the year 2002. He and his brothers in fraternity rented a house for them to review together for the board exams. He made it because he topped the boards to 12th place. It started all the problems we encountered. By that time our relationship is already on the rocks. After 3 years of marriage we decided to part ways since we were not that stable in terms of emotions, finances and in our career.

Me and my baby Ayel lived without a dad that would keep us safe, that would pamper all our tantrums whenever we like doing it. Good thing about Ayel's dad was that he was a good provider. Eventhough he was in the arms of another, he managed to give what is due for our kido. None the less, I could see that he loved our baby. Above all he sees to it that whenever he got back home from a vacation he would be with my daughter everyday of his stay in the Philippines.

Even before our baby went to her true Father in heaven, my ex hubby proposed a nullity of our marriage. I did not agree that time because I know it would be another pain for my baby. After a year I said yes, I am now ready to file the annulment to our marriage since my baby has gone. Please allow me to say to myself; I was broken into pieces to be free.

The aftermath of all the things that happened, he is now married with kids still living abroad. I am living on my own with my B boy on my tummy. I could probably say that I would only tie a knot with someone because me and my soon to be husband will be careless with the future for as long as we will have each other in between God at the end of the day and not because of anything else.

The best way

We have heard and read million times that breastfeeding is best for baby. A lot of benefits from mom and baby will get from breastfeeding. Emotionally, breastfeeding is a bond between mother and baby. Even though baby can't talk yet, mothers can have conversation with their baby through their eyes. It'll be a lot easier and more comfortable for my baby when we use " BabyBond Couture Nursing Sash" that's why I wanted and hoping to win this contest.  Health wise, antibodies and nutrients that babies needed came from mother's breast milk. With the aid of mother's breast milk and vitamins the baby will grow healthy. Economically, mothers do not need to buy formulated milk, breastfeeding bottle and stuff like that for them to breastfed their baby. All they need to do is to ease out their healthy breast and feed their baby. It is one of the answers to poverty. Expectant moms out there if you want to pamper your baby the best way, you know what to do.
